A RESPECT FOR GAY MARRIAGE?

A RESPECT FOR GAY MARRIAGE?

Yesterday was a very interesting day in Australian politics.  Liberal Prime Minister Tony Abbott has been ousted as party leader and therefore prime minister.  He was "stabbed in the face" by his colleague Malcolm Turnball, who now takes over the long-coveted office.

So why does this appear on a Romanian escort blog that you might ask?  Well, this could be a major step towards gay marriage in the country, a cause that Barby Escorts has long supported.

Now I am not going to militate and say that Abbott (which is a very anti-gay marriage) has, in principle, been dismissed for this view.  Let's get something straightforward, although most Australians want gay marriage, this is not the kind of politics that wins and loses elections.  I will also not say that he is a "bad person", because I believe that everyone has the right to an opinion.  That's what democracy is all about.

What killed Abbott was the fact that he simply could not connect with the public.  He watched the economy go down, misjudged Australia's appetite for refugees from Syria, said only late that 12,000 would take refuge this year, and was rightly or wrongly considered a bit of an idiot.

It is fair to say that the Liberal Party knew it had lost the vote.  He came to power only because the Labor Party was so unpopular (to be fair, Dame Edna could have been elected against this background).  Abbott was kept in the message with simple terms, such as "stopped the boats" and "charged the tax."  However, he was still prone to panting, such as the 2010 comment heard by the press that "It's pretty obvious that, well, sometimes shit happens, isn't it?"  when we were talking about the death of an Australian soldier in Afghanistan.  Yes, people understood the idea, but it seemed so contemptuous.

  A brave new world?

Through this prism must be seen his vision of gay marriage.  It only showed how unrelated he was to public opinion.  Homosexual marriage was just the latest set of things that was considered wrong.

I have no idea what Mr. Turnball is like as a politician or a man.  What I do know is that he is a supporter of gay marriage, a policy that Abbott opposed and made impossible to become law.  Now that Mr Turnball is in power, then it may be much easier for you to make this equality legislation real.

Time will tell.  Let's hope we can bring you some good news soon!
